Texture and flavour are the guiding hallmarks of every dish. Take for example their homemade granola. Gone are the flashbacks of the berry-flecked sawdust that one of my aunts used to make, replaced with memories of the delicate sweetness and chewy-crunchiness that topped fresh, creamy yoghurt.
An expert attention to detail goes without saying in this iconic culinary landmark, but for this Canadian it was the little things: the warm individual pots of maple syrup served with our French toast and waffles. Two thumbs up. From it’s opening in 1931, to it’s current direction under Alain Ducasse’s protégé, Christophe Marleix, The Grill is where good mornings begin.
