It probably started with both my parents making classic rock and soul the soundtrack to daily life during my formative years, but Fleetwood Mac is easily one of my all-time favourite bands (there’s no disputing – Mick Fleetwood is one of the coolest drummers ever, and Stevie Nicks is clearly the queen of bohemian rock chicks). Their back catalog contains so many gems, but Go Your Own Way was arguably the theme song for my independent, only-child ways. This is probably why I’ve developed an affinity for Denim & Supply by Ralph Lauren.

Its rugged individualism is the foundation of Denim & Supply’s emphasis on inspiring you to mix and match the collection into your personal style, whether wear-forever jeans or laid-back T-shirts. The Spring 2014 collection is all about a southwestern meets a city rock ‘n’ roll vibe that perfectly matches my general girly tomboy style, and has me thinking about summer festivals in this airy cut-out dress, weathered leather motorcycle vest, and suede-fringed canvas shoulder bag.
