I remember Jeanne Beker announcing his appointment and profiling this young, relatively-unknown talent on Fashion Television all those years ago, so after what can conceivably be called a lifetime in these fast fashion times, I know I was not alone in my surprise at seeing him walk away.  And so it goes – once again the designer has changed, but the house remains. The king is dead. Long live the king.
