As one of my co-workers was popping out for a cigarette, she turned and said jokingly that, ”this isn’t a habit, it’s my hobby.”  We had a little laugh about it, but it got me thinking – is it all in how you spin it?  Could a brilliant (and let’s face it, controversial) marketing campaign re-brand certain vices as recreational activities?  You don’t bite your nails out of nerves or habit, but instead enjoy grooming them by non-mechanical means at various times of the day. 
Anyway, just a random thought.
